Since Monday (the day Stacey-Leigh and I arrived back from our two week stint amidst Cape Town) up until today I have been grounding myself and re-connecting to the energy and life at Khula Dhamma. Missioning within the city constantly every day is draining and what I longed for was to just roll upon the grass here at the farm, climb the oak tree and speak to the faeres and the Earth Mother, but now that I am finally back amidst this land of peace and serenity, I feel slightly unbalanced. This mind and my spirit are unbalanced not because of the space and energy here, but because the city lifestyle shook me externally and internally and now this sense of quiet is slightly unfamiliar. Each day my soul feels more at ease and I enjoy being aware that time is of no substance, that I am free to accomplish tasks at my own pace and that words are unnecessary especially regarding communication with the Earth.
Whilst Stacey-Leigh and I were frolicking amidst the city (as much as we attempted not to, me travelling through to Scarborough Village as often as possible and Stacey-Leigh cooking and creating a storm of delights :)), brother Travis was upon the farm spending every moment attending to the Earth. Wooden fences were woven around the garden beds in front of the community house, a wooden canopy vibe and attached wooden bench created from wattle was created in front of the front door, seedlings were planted, seeds were sprouted, wisdom and knowledge was gained and a soul grew and softened :) Sho! The excitement is honestly radiating from my astral energies :D When Staceyji and I walked to the house and viewed the garden I believe we were both beaming with happiness, because of the sight and love that was so apparent. What a happy and energetic garden. If this computer were not so unbelievably ancient, I would have posted photographs already. Heehee. All in due "time", as everything occurs as it needs to.
Yesterday Nosukhele began the first layer of cob (clay, limestone and water in this case, which is rather unfamiliar to me) upon the combined garden bench and fence that brother Travis created. Staceyji assisted with the actual placing and smearing of the cob and once her and Travis had ventured off to the Kei mouth a few hours later, I assisted with the cobbing as well. A meander down the dirt road, and a red earth deposit was just beside me (which we use for the cobbing here), I shoveled enough earth into a wheel barrow, so it was full to the brim. I obviously underestimated how physically unfit I had become from not being present upon the farm for two months, because I had to cease pushing the wheel barrow up the hill during four or five occasions. Haha. The motivation to continue was strong and when I arrived back to Nosukhele and her cobbing, I was relieved when she stated that only half the amount of clay was needed and that her beautiful work would soon be accomplished :) I remained beside her to assist with the mixing of the earth and limestone (which is also a rather difficult task, but tis fun none-the-less).
To ink within the ideas book what needs to be accomplished here at Khula Dhamma, and spill the ideas that drift with this mind constantly was the next task. Finally to continue the manifestation of my vision for this blog was next...
Hmmm, today began slowly, as I decided I would only be rising to greet the morning, Mother Earth and the warm smiles of Brother Sun at 6isham. Regardless of the slow morning, it feels as though a fair amount was accomplished during the course of the day.
Just as I had decided to begin the sowing of various seeds, I decided to check the cellular technology and noticed that Anne and Tim (two of the residents upon KD) had asked me to visit their abode to share thoughts and drink tea :)
Once I had ventured back to the community house (which is slowly but surely being transformed into a home ;) ), the mission to create potting soil and plant seeds was attended to. I checked the list of what I wish to accomplish first and foremost during the next few days, shared a Namaste to Brother Sun to view where he had settled and continued upon my path to continue absorbing the wisdom of the plants. To be honest I am unsure of what every seed was that I decided to plant (I usually just pick off flower/ plant buds that have begun to seed and place them into my friend the seed tin, not always aware of what each plant is, but awed none-the-less) but here are the few that I was aware of: carob, prunes, a psychedelic daisy spirit, a seed that fell upon my lap whilst floating in India, (hmmm), a lovely bell succulent... Thats all I seem to remember. A crystal was placed atop each seed tray to manifest positive energy and to assist the germination of each seed :)
The remainder of the potting soil was mounded around the potato bushes, so that more potatoes may root and grow! By then Brother Sun was bidding his farewell for the day and I reluctantly had to wash these hands of the soil that was loved for today, and begin creating a meal for Mister Tigger cat spirit (I refuse to feed him cat pellets, so he is rather frustrated at me, but I persist creating new meals until he either decides to begin eating what I serve him or until he begins fending for himself. I believe he has caught a mouse and a snake so far, but they seem to be of an acquired taste :/ ). I floated through the garden beds to view the jungle of life that is now thriving right outside our house, and to source alive food to savour for the evening meal :) During this food frolicking, I spied an immensely red tomato spirit! Our very first ripe tomato! I was so ecstatic and jubilated by all the beautiful greenery, miniature carrots and the tomato that I had collected from our very own gardens that next thing I knew, my camera had been sourced and all the plants were smiling and saying "cheese" for me :D Oh golly! LIfe truly is a magically joyous journey, a galaxy of ancient mysteries shared through the silent and appreciated connections of the day.
During Sunday, Ole, Zanele and I shall be sitting a one day Vipassana here at the farm, since the facilites are very much available (there is a meditation/ yoga hall of existence here), following our last group sit, a heart sharing shall occur to welcome the volunteer Mio that arrived a few days past and to say "Namaste" to all that have arrived back from various gallivants. A volunteer named Mark is arriving during Monday and Caroline arrives back from France during Wednesday. Sha-wow! An array of energy shall be occupying the farm :)
Tomorrow is a cleaning day... Indeed.
Blessings and metta to all beings :)
